KIDS ARE LIKE… PUPPIES
FROM THE MIND OF A CAREER DAYCARE WORKER.
Working at a daycare center has taught me many things about children. Mainly that they are eerily similar to puppies.
Don’t believe it challenge accepted. Check this out
- They are both adorable because their eyes are disproportionate to the size of their tiny bodies.
- They make high pitched noises for seemingly no reason.
- They are good snugglers.
- They like being scratched behind the ears I am dead serious it’s like a magical button that makes children fall asleep.
- Whenever you walk into the room they’re super hype to see you no matter what.
- They are messy eaters.
- They are not toilet trained, and sometimes poop in the house.
- Discipline. NO BITING, DON’T CHEW ON THAT, STOP THAT MISTER, STAY, COME HERE, THAT IS NOT YOUR FOOD, GET OFF ME, NO PEEING ON THE FLOOR etc etc etc
- They are easy to teach to high five and when they learn they never want to stop it is hilarious
- They both take training but it pays off because then it’s less to worry about when they’re actually good for once.
- They need help wiping their noses.
- They are distracted by shiny stuff and a happy tone of voice.
- They will come sit on your lap for no reason.
- They don’t care about what you’ve done or who you are, if you’re nice to them then they’re nice to you.
- They always want to play. ALWAYS.
- They make people say awwwww.
- If they want something they will stand at your feet and squeal.
- You have to get the new ones used to the group and make sure they integrate well.
- Sometimes you have to pull them off of each other screaming.
- Sometimes it’s hard to say no because they’re cute.
- They both like to lick you for reasons I still don’t quite understand.
