KIDS ARE LIKE… PUPPIES

FROM THE MIND OF A CAREER DAYCARE WORKER.

Working at a daycare center has taught me many things about children.  Mainly that they are eerily similar to puppies.

Don’t believe it challenge accepted.  Check this out

  1. They are both adorable because their eyes are disproportionate to the size of their tiny bodies.
  2. They make high pitched noises for seemingly no reason.
  3. They are good snugglers.
  4. They like being scratched behind the ears I am dead serious it’s like a magical button that makes children fall asleep.
  5. Whenever you walk into the room they’re super hype to see you no matter what.
  6. They are messy eaters.
  7. They are not toilet trained, and sometimes poop in the house.
  8. Discipline. NO BITING, DON’T CHEW ON THAT, STOP THAT MISTER, STAY, COME HERE, THAT IS NOT YOUR FOOD, GET OFF ME, NO PEEING ON THE FLOOR etc etc etc
  9. They are easy to teach to high five and when they learn they never want to stop it is hilarious
  10. They both take training but it pays off because then it’s less to worry about when they’re actually good for once.
  11. They need help wiping their noses.
  12. They are distracted by shiny stuff and a happy tone of voice.
  13. They will come sit on your lap for no reason.
  14. They don’t care about what you’ve done or who you are, if you’re nice to them then they’re nice to you.
  15. They always want to play. ALWAYS.
  16. They make people say awwwww.
  17. If they want something they will stand at your feet and squeal.
  18. You have to get the new ones used to the group and make sure they integrate well.
  19. Sometimes you have to pull them off of each other screaming.
  20. Sometimes it’s hard to say no because they’re cute.
  21. They both like to lick you for reasons I still don’t quite understand.
